Livedocs utilizes the following tools:

SQLite

The backend is written in SQLite 2. Version 2 is used so it'll work in most versions of PHP. More info on that later.

PHP XML Extensions

Two XML backends exist for this:

• PHP 4 – libxml2 (http://www.php.net/xml)
• PHP 5 – Simple XML? (http://www.php.net/simplexml)

Other

Other tools are used when building Livedocs, they include:

• xsltproc and xmllint
• PHP CLI
• configure/make
• bz2 if user notes are to be used
